MENTAL COUNSELLING SESSION (16th September 2019)

PARAS India and Happy Living Foundation successfully conducted a mental counselling session on the 16th of September at Nand Lal Basti, Gopalpur village, New Delhi.

The program had seen large scale participation of young girls and women from the community. Various mental health problems were discussed in the session.

It was found they people do not realise that they suffer from mental disorders. They rather think of it as superstitions and seek help from quacks. Mental disorders are often considered as habits and, henceforth, are not treatable.

The mentally challenged need to be treated with respect and dignity like any other human being. A continuous and sustained counselling session is the best way to treat oneself and being emotionally well.

People suffering from mental health issues must be taken to nearby clinics or psychiatrist for treatment.
